Vibes of the Bay, one of Tampa’s best indie music festivals, makes its big return

A longtime Tampa favorite is making a mega-sized return after a three-year hiatus. Hosted by Symphonic Distribution, the Vibes of the Bay Festival is back for its seventh rendition, bringing an incredible day of local music and art to Historic Ybor City.

Vibes of the Bay takes place on Saturday, September 30 at Crowbar Ybor (1812 N 17^th Street) beginning at 4 pm. The full experience will feature 20+ artists in a celebration of Tampa’s local musical talent and vibrant arts scene. To make the day even better, entrance to Vibes of the Bay is free if you RSVP in advance, and only $10 at the door on the day of the event.

In addition to the hours upon hours of live music, Vibes of the Bay will host a sprawling local vendor market curated by Indie Flea, one of our favorite market hosts in all of Tampa Bay. A platform for local makers, the market will feature artisanal and handmade goods, plants, vintage collectors, jewelry and handcrafts, gifts, art and more.

At its core, Vibes of the Bay is a celebration of independent music and a showcase of some of the best artists and bands the Tampa area has to offer. Whether you’re a longtime local, a new resident, or even a visitor in town for the weekend, it’s the perfect way to check out the greatest in Tampa Bay’s indie scene. In operation since, 2015, Vibes of the Bay has cemented itself as one of the best independent music festivals in the region, even being awarded Best Celebration of Local Music by Creative Loafing in 2018.

Each year, Symphonic chooses a charitable organization to dedicate the festival to, and this year they’re honoring the Arts Conservatory for Teens. Founded in 2012, ACT’s programs foster self-esteem, confidence, and meaningful connections among youth, nurturing both individual strengths and the collective future of communities through world-class training in Music, Theater, Dance, Film, Art, Leadership, and Entrepreneurship.
