Travel season just doesn’t seem to end in Tampa. Tampa International Airport, an award-winning international travel hub, continues to add incredible destinations to its already stacked roster.

Following one of its busiest spring break seasons ever, two airlines are expanding their services to beautiful cities. Edelweiss plans to double its service to Zurich in May 2024. JetBlue will double its service to San Juan, Puerto Rico beginning June 13.

Edelweiss has seen major demand for its nonstop service to Zurich. This means the well regarded airline will soon offer 4 flights weekly from TPA. Currently, the flights are only offered on Fridays and Sundays, but will be expanded to include Mondays and Wednesdays. Tickets are available online

Edelweiss Air will use an Airbus A330-300 with 332 seats onboard, configured with 36 business class seats and 296 economy seats, according to TPA. This represents tens of millions of dollars annually in economic impact to the region.

JetBlue will soon offer double service to San Juan, Puerto Rico. JetBlue has greatly increased routes to the beautiful destination from multiple airports.

“This growth will increase competition and choice for customers traveling to and from Puerto Rico and for travelers in Raleigh and Tampa, while also building on our commitment to support tourism on the island and connect family and friends,” JetBlue CEO Robin Hayes says in a statement back in 2023.
