Tampa International Airport’s single day passenger record could be shattered during Spring Break 2024. Technically the airport already beat its previous single day passenger record when 93,334 travelers passed through the Airport on February 25.

“Projections utilizing airline booking data suggest TPA could once again set new all-time passengers records with more than 100,000 passengers expected on both March 9 and March 17,” note airport officials in a press release. “The Airport is preparing to accommodate 90,000 to 100,000 passengers every Saturday and Sunday over the 38-day spring break travel period.”

TPA anticipates more than 3 million travelers will pass through the airport between March 4 and April 8 with around 564 daily flights.

If you do have travel plan over the next few weeks, you’re encouraged to arrive at least 2 hours early for your flight, utilize the express lanes if you’re not checking a bag, and plan ahead for parking. The airport has also partnered with UberEats so you can order food and drink ahead of time and pick them up at your convenience.

Our local airport, considered the best of its size by JD Power, is also something of a public art gallery. Those on airside C have access to the best bathroom in North America.
