Life hack: Snag a Tampa Riverwalk cup and take that drink for a stroll

Sip & Stroll on the Riverwalk

After years of patience and construction, Tampa has re-invigorated the downtown thanks to the success of the Riverwalk. Armature Works, Ulele, Straz Center for the Performing Arts, Water Works Park, Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, Glazer Children’s Museum, Tampa Bay History Center and The Tampa Museum of Art are just a few of the places accessible by the Riverwalk.

How it works

Thanks to the Friends of the Riverwalk, a non-profit company working with the City of Tampa, you can enjoy Tampa’s budding restaurant scene on the move.

Most restaurants along the Riverwalk offer specially approved to-go cups with a purchase. It is simple, all you must do is ask for a Riverwalk cup and a bartender will kindly pour your drink (or you can do it yourself in many locations) in a sponsored plastic cup and off you go.

We highly recommend the Fine and Dandy Cocktails Emporium, from the cocktails minds of Ciro’s Speakeasy, or sit down at Steelbach for a Sorghum Old Fashioned or a Cool Hand Cuke.

Booze makes a walk an adventure

This way you can enjoy the waterfront and the monument trail with a premium cocktail from Ulele or even the SIP Airstream right in front of the Straz Center. A little booze in your hand will allow you to fully appreciate the minarets at the University of Tampa, the piano bench in front of the Straz – heck, you can even get misty and appreciate the full scope of the city’s impressive growth… The world is your oyster with a Riverwalk cup, friends.
