A new season is near, and it’s time to refresh the wardrobe, and maybe do some spring cleaning in your closet. Tampa has some beautiful thrift shops, but these are the top 3 thrift shops to visit in Tampa, according to Yelp and Google.

Sunshine City Thrift
4304 S Dale Mabry Hwy

Sunshine City Thrift is the Best of the Bay Award winning thrift shops with multiple locations across the region. This shop has thousands of items in rotation weekly. They have ample footwear, and clothes for casual and formal occasions.

I’ve found some great deals on vintage Salt Valley shirts, Adidas workout gear, and discovered one of my favorite denim jackets at this store. For wrestling fans, I also came across a Batista t-shirt at this shop and it remains solidly in my outfit rotation.

The story also offers some home decor, kitchen utensils, and furniture. You could spend hours exploring all the Sunshine Thrift offers.

Avalon Exchange
2823 S MacDill Ave

Avalon Exchange operates multiple locations across the country, and its Tampa spot is filled with treasures. World tour tees, Dr Martens, Nike Dunks, KITH, fresh jackets, and classic NBA and NFL merch are always rotating in and out of the shop.

It’s also a great spot to sell some of your old clothes if you have a few pieces you’re looking to part ways with. Just one quick scroll through their Instagram and I’ve already picked out 5 shirts I want to add to my collection.

Valhalla Resale
6112 N Central Ave

Valhalla is a clothing membership with locations in Tampa and St. Pete. They rent unlimited everyday clothing for one set price. They also sell used clothing.

Valhalla provides a clothing membership that allows members to borrow three items at a time; starting at $49/month, members can borrow three items of clothing at a time for as long as you like with unlimited exchanges.  You can learn more about the program on Valhalla’s website.
