It’s here! The Tampa Edition of MONOPOLY has arrived and some of our favorite places are on the board (though we’re sad not to see Tampa Theatre on here). Local officials and business leaders, along with Mr. Monopoly, unveiled MONOPOLY: Tampa Edition at a media event hosted at Busch Gardens in Tampa earlier today. The game was introduced by Top Trumps USA, the American division of Winning Moves International, creators of classic games and puzzles, and under license by Hasbro, a leading toy and game company.
MONOPOLY: Tampa Edition replaces the perennial board game’s Atlantic City squares (from ‘Boardwalk’ to ‘Park Place’) with Tampa cultural sites, historic landmarks, charitable organizations, and businesses, such as Bayshore Boulevard, Busch Gardens, Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, Lettuce Lake Park, Morgan Auto Group, Museum of Science & Industry, Tampa Bay History Center, The Florida Aquarium, The University of Tampa, TECO Line Streetcar, Visit Tampa Bay and more.

“We appreciate everyone who suggested landmarks, organizations and businesses that make Tampa unique and truly special. We are pleased so many of them raced in to win the opportunity for a place on the board,” says Tim Barney, a representative at Top Trumps USA.
MONOPOLY: Tampa Edition will be available in stores and online at retail partners, including the Top Trump’s website, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Visit Tampa Bay, Tampa Convention Center, Tampa Bay History Center, Zen’s Toyland and The University of Tampa.
