Tampa International Airport (TPA) is continuing to expand its global reach with the announcement of its first-ever nonstop flights to Vancouver, Canada. Beginning June 14, 2025, WestJet will operate this new route, connecting Tampa Bay travelers to the breathtaking landscapes and vibrant city life of Western Canada.
In addition to this milestone, WestJet has confirmed that its popular route to Calgary will now operate year-round, transitioning from seasonal service to regular weekly flights every Friday starting May 2, 2025.

First-ever nonstop flights to Vancouver from TPA
It’s not the only airline launching flights to Western Canada. Beginning June 4, 2025, Air Canada will offer twice-weekly nonstop flights from TPA to Vancouver International Airport (YVR). This route will be available year-round, giving Tampa Bay travelers unparalleled access to British Columbia and beyond.
The flights are scheduled to depart Vancouver on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 1:30 p.m., arriving at Tampa International Airport at 10:12 p.m. For passengers departing from TPA, the flights will leave at 8:20 a.m. and land in Vancouver at 11:23 a.m. on Wednesdays and Sundays.
A growing international hub
The addition of Vancouver marks another step in TPA’s evolution as a global travel hub. Recent international destinations, such as Amsterdam and Mexico City, highlight the airport’s commitment to offering expanded options for travelers. With year-round service to Calgary now on the roster, WestJet continues to solidify its presence in Tampa, providing more opportunities for residents to explore Canada.
