The Bucs may not have been in the Super Bowl, but Tampa was represented on the field. Fly, eagles, fly. Go Birds. Blake High alum Isaiah Rogers had us bleeding green on Sunday. The Philadelphia Eagles Cornerback celebrated with his team on the field in New Orleans after a dominant Super Bowl win.
This comes just a week after Blake alum Doechii took home the Grammy for Best Rap Album. Our local high school is having a moment.

Rodgers took to social media to celebrate the win and to clap back at his former team, the Indianapolis Colts: “I ain’t BET this time, but I would’ve BET on myself.”
Isaiah Rodgers celebrates the major Super Bowl victory
In 2022, Rodgers suffered a knee injury in Week 16 that ended his season. The following year, he violated the NFL’s gambling policy by placing an estimated 100 bets, including one on the Colts, leading to his suspension for the remainder of the 2023 season. The Colts waived Rodgers and teammate Rashod Berry shortly after. The Philadelphia Eagles signed Rodgers despite being ineligible to play for another year. When he was cleared to return in 2024, Rodgers began rebuilding his career, primarily serving as a backup to Darius Slay. He made notable contributions, including a key fumble recovery in the playoffs, which he returned for 40 yards.
Now he’s a champion, and it’s all well-deserved! Major shout out to Blake High, too.
Last year, Chiefs star Marquez Valdes-Scantling made USF Bull history when he became the first player in program history to score a touchdown in the Super Bowl. Tampa always finds its way on the field.
