Four new Tampa restaurants have officially joined the Florida MICHELIN Guide as “Recommended” spots, highlighting them as standout dining destinations. These eateries now have the chance to earn Bib Gourmand or Star awards at the upcoming Florida MICHELIN Guide Ceremony on April 17. Here’s a look at the latest additions:
Big Ray’s Fish Camp
Tucked away from Tampa’s trendier districts, Big Ray’s Fish Camp is a hidden gem that delivers on fresh, no-frills seafood. This casual shack, owned by Raymond “Nick” Cruz, serves up classics like smoked fish dip, peel-and-eat shrimp, and blackened shrimp baskets. Sandwich lovers will find a must-try fried grouper sandwich alongside creative bites like a lobster tail corn dog. For a sweet finish, don’t skip the key lime pie with graham cracker crust.

Cousin Vinny’s Sandwich Co.
Located in Tampa’s NoHo neighborhood, this small-but-mighty sandwich shop is a love letter to New York-style Italian-American eats. Co-owner Vincent “Vinny” Andriotti, along with friends Russell Leone, AJ DeSimone, and Jake Schmidt, focus on high-quality ingredients and house-made schiacciata (a crispier version of focaccia). Popular picks include the Tony Piccante, featuring crispy chicken cutlet, vodka sauce, cheese, and roasted red peppers, and the tomato and mozzarella sandwich, a simple yet standout choice.

Fisk
Sharing a space with the highly acclaimed Ebbe, Fisk is an elevated seafood bar with a focus on Swedish and global flavors. The menu offers both à la carte options and a tasting experience, with dishes like Alaskan smoked salmon éclairs, crab salad with pink grapefruit and grilled avocado, and comforting fish soup made with rich stock, fennel, and a touch of cream. Those with a sweet tooth (and a love for rum) should try the boozy baba au rhum for dessert.

Mad Dogs & Englishmen
A Tampa institution with roots dating back to 1991, Mad Dogs & Englishmen recently moved into a larger, standalone space, embracing a classic British pub feel. The cozy, memorabilia-filled interior sets the stage for traditional UK fare, including a Sunday roast, shepherd’s pie made with lamb, and a puff pastry-wrapped sausage served with curry-Dijon mayo. It’s a proper pub experience with an elevated twist.

These spots could each take home Bib Gourmand Awards or earn a MICHELIN Star during a ceremony in Orlando set for April 17.
