Tampa’s biggest celebration of Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) cultures is back! The Tampa Asian Pacific Islander Cultural Festival takes over Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park (600 N Ashley Dr) on March 22, 2025, from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., bringing a full day of authentic flavors, electrifying performances, and cultural showcases to the heart of downtown.
Hosted by the Mayor’s Asian American Pacific Islander Council, this annual festival highlights the rich traditions and contributions of AAPI communities across the city. Attendees can expect representation from countries including Korea, the Philippines, China, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, India, Japan, Indonesia, Taiwan, and Malaysia.

The festival will feature live performances, including traditional and modern dance, music, and martial arts demonstrations. Visitors can indulge in authentic cuisine from local restaurants and vendors, browse a vibrant marketplace filled with handmade goods, and explore interactive exhibits showcasing AAPI heritage. Hands-on workshops and family-friendly activities ensure fun for all ages, while free health screenings will also be available.
“Tampa is home to so many cultures that add depth and character to our community, and the AAPI Festival is a chance to honor those traditions,” said Mayor Jane Castor. “By experiencing the music, food, and customs shared here, we gain a deeper connection to our neighbors and a greater appreciation for the many influences that make Tampa the incredible city it is today.”
