Tampa gets sneak peek at Gulf Coast’s tallest tower this weekend

The tallest building on Florida’s west coast is coming to Tampa Bay, and a rare gallery for the upcoming luxury residential tower opens this weekend at Hyde House in Hyde Park. Those curious can get a special sneak peek of The Residences at 400 Central by stopping by the limited-time-only gallery at Hyde House Public Studio this Saturday and Sunday, October 22 and 23, from 12-3 pm each day.

The gallery event is no mere showcase of renderings, either. It’s a full-on interactive visual experience alongside internationally-celebrated artists. Attendees will have the opportunity to get a first look at the soaring condominium development coming to downtown St. Petersburg, along with a chance for interested residents to discover how to make their sky-high dreams a reality.

The tallest building on Florida’s west coast will soon take its place in the St. Pete skyline and offer some of the most breathtaking views in Tampa Bay. Soaring 515 feet into the sky of the Sunshine City, the long-awaited Residences at 400 Central has begun taking reservations and announced the sales of its luxury condominiums.

The two, three, and four- bedroom residences will feature open floor plans, kitchens with European style cabinetry, floor to ceiling glass, and expansive terraces. Billed as “luxury living in the sky,” the gleaming tower was designed by the award-winning firm Arquitectonica, with interiors and amenities by the New York based Celano Design Studio. Units begin at $900,000.

The high-rise will also offer extra-residential amenities for its tenants, including two areas from which to enjoy leisure time and stunning views. On the 7th floor, The Residences at 400 will showcase more than 36,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor spaces, featuring a heated pool, a state-of-the-art fitness center, a game lounge, and an outdoor cabana by the pool. There will also be a co-working space, a kitchen, a pet station and even a private movie theatre.

The crown jewel of the building will be the Sky Lounge and Observatory on the 45th floor, offering sweeping 360-degree views of Tampa Bay, the Gulf of Mexico, and all of St. Pete. In addition to an elegant design flooded in natural light, residences will feature “modern, open-concept floor plans that highlight the spacious interiors and panoramic views from Tampa Bay to the Gulf of Mexico.” And to add a personal touch, The Residences will include “designer finishes package options in multiple styles and materials.”

The Residences at 400 bringing new storefronts to Central Avenue

Of course, the new building will offer the city of St. Petersburg much more than just a place to live. At ground level, The Residences will bring 48,000 square feet of retail space to the 400 block of Central Avenue, featuring “a robust collection” of independent shops, restaurants, and galleries.

Located opposite St. Pete staples like Il Ritorno, La V, and Beans and Barlour, The Residences will fill out the block’s entertainment and dining scene along the bustling stretch of Central Avenue.
