It seems many around the country already have an unofficial PhD in Taylor Swift. Ahead of her next record release, super sleuth Swifities have worked tirelessly to figure out all the Easter Eggs the mega-popular artist has left for her fans. This passion can soon be funneled into coursework at The University of South Florida. Inquiring Bulls can register for a class all about Taylor Swift.

Tampa has already shown its love for T Swift. Her Eras Tour stop at Raymond James Stadium was a thrice sold-out affair that had a huge economic impact on the city. Swift also just entered Forbes’ billionaires list. In a rare feat, Swift is the first musician to reach the milestone solely from songwriting and performing, according to Forbes.

A course for those in the tortured poets department

English Professors Jessica Cook, Emily Jones, and Michelle Taylor are collaborating on the course (LIT3301) this fall, according to The Oracle. It’s open to students of any major.

The university defines the course this way: “A study of American and international cultures as they are represented in the film, fiction, and other cultural artifacts of various ethnic groups and nationalities and focuses on values/ethics, race, ethnicity, and gender; thinking and writing skills.”

So we are ready to go back to school. USF joins a host of colleges across the country in offering courses focusing on Swift.
