The city of Tampa has an incredible food scene – and several spots in the city have just been added to the MICHELIN Guide. No stars were awarded here, but we wouldn’t be surprised to one day see these restaurants given the distinction.
MICHELIN Guide Inspectors spend all year on the road uncovering the best restaurants to recommend—and their discoveries are too good to keep secret. They’ve decided to let the public whet their appetites with a sneak peek of the 2024 MICHELIN Guide Florida selection featuring nineteen new additions spread across the Sunshine State.

The best restaurants in Tampa
The 6 new spots added to the guide in Tampa are:
- Supernatural Food & Wine, 305 E Polk St
- Predalina, 1001 E Cumberland Ave
- Streetlight Taco, 4004 Henderson Blvd
- The Pearl, 823 Water St C100
- EBBE, 1202 N Franklin St
- Kosen, 307 W Palm Ave
Tampa currently has 3 MICHELIN Star restaurants: Rocca, Lilac at The EDITION, and Ko.
Supernatural Food & Wine is one of my favorite spots in Tampa. Their cinnamon sugar donuts are the best donuts in Florida in my opinion, and the chickpea sandwich is my go-to lunch order downtown. It also helps that it’s right around the corner from my favorite place in the city, the iconic Tampa Theatre.
Gourmet seafood destinations in Water Street
Predalina brings a gourmet seafood experience to Tampa, while The Pearl is downtown’s favorite new oyster room.
I haven’t had the pleasure of enjoying Streetlight Taco yet, but the MICHELINE guide has me salivating with its mention of the Sunday snack tostada, an equal parts sweet-and-savory delight with two blue corn tostadas layered with cream cheese with lump crab, diced sweet mango and a mango habanero sauce.
EBBE is a unique addition to the restaurant community. Its tasting menu focuses on Scandinavian elements make their way onto the dishes here, hinting at the chef’s Swedish background, and the cooking is both clever and confident without superfluous fuss.
Omakase experiences in Tampa Bay
Kosen is the brainchild of two James Beard Award semifinalists and is under the guidance of Chef Chen who apprenticed at a MICHELIN star restaurant.
“Kōsen, which translates to ray of light, embodies brilliance and enlightenment,” writes the ownership team. “This philosophy is reflected throughout every element of the dining experience, from the carefully crafted menu to the striking design.”
