The Italian Club of Ybor City announces new ghost tours of its historic building

Experience the Paranormal Investigation of The Italian Club (1731 E 7th Ave) in Ybor City, a captivating journey into the eerie past of this historic site. Award-winning guides and paranormal investigation teams lead guests through 90 minutes of chilling tales and immersive exploration, utilizing state-of-the-art ghost-hunting equipment. The event takes place on May 31 and you can reserve your spot in advance online. Tickets are $55 for each time slot.

Choose from three sessions at 7pm, 9pm, and 11pm, each offering a unique opportunity to encounter the supernatural. Grab your flashlight and prepare for a night of spine-tingling encounters and mysterious stories.

This in-person event promises an unforgettable experience for those brave enough to join. Explore the depths of this 1918 structure and uncover its hidden secrets. A cash/credit bar will be available in the basement for refreshments.

The Italian Club was established in 1894, the second mutual aid society in Tampa’s history.

“When it started, the club had only 107 members. By November 1935, the amount of members reached 3000. The first Italian Club building, built in 1911, burned down in 1914. In 1918, a new building was completed for the club, and still stands today at 1731 East 7th Avenue. According to Tampa historian Tony Pizzo, the Italian Club “…is considered the fore-runner of the more than fourteen hundred mutual aid societies that flourished in Italian neighborhood throughout America.” The Club included a health insurance program, as well as death and sick benefits, for their members.”
