Water Street Tampa is transforming into a massive outdoor music venue on Saturday, September 26, as the neighborhood hosts Beats on the Street, a free community event featuring more than 30 live performances, immersive exhibits, and pop-up bars that benefit a local nonprofit.
With two new stages and expanded lineup of performers, Beats on the Street is headlined this year by Chromeo (DJ Set), the Grammy-nominated electronic duo and five-time Coachella performers. Beats on the Street is one of the best Tampa events of the year
From 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., visitors can enjoy seven main stages scattered throughout the district, offering a lineup that spans multiple genres, including indie rock, soulful jazz, and more. With two new stages this year, the Columbia Stage will showcase a rotating lineup of Latin artists all day and night, while there will also be rotating DJ sets throughout the day inside Predalina.
This year’s event partners with the Gasparilla Music Festival, celebrating Tampa Bay’s arts scene and highlighting local and regional talent. Guests can also explore pop-up bars where proceeds will benefit the Recycled Tunes Program, which provides musical instruments to kids in need. With Water Street’s restaurants participating, organizers encourage attendees to book reservations early.
In addition to live music, visitors can immerse themselves in interactive and creative experiences, including:
- Interactive instrument petting zoo for a hands-on experience
- Silent Disco with rotating genres all event long
- Pop-up record shop and exclusive merch
- Music themed arts and visuals throughout the evening
