Craft cocktails, live entertainment, and a little intrigue are all on the menu at After Dark, Straz Center’s speakeasy-inspired fundraising event on Saturday, October 17. Beginning at 8 p.m. in Morsani Hall, the event invites guests to dress up and support the arts while enjoying an evening of live entertainment, open bar, and light bites. Tickets are available now.
While the cause is important, the atmosphere is all about having fun. Inspired by the hidden speakeasies of the 1920s, the event invites guests into a world of mood lighting, vintage style, late-night dancing, and a little mystery. Straz Center is intentionally keeping some details under wraps, but attendees can look forward to a full open bar, delicious hors d’oeuvres, and musical entertainment throughout the night.

After Dark shares the evening with the Gala for Straz Center, the organization’s signature fundraising event. While the two celebrations begin separately, they come together at 10 p.m., when Gala attendees join the After Dark party for desserts, dancing, and late-night revelry. A ticket to the Gala is not required to attend After Dark.
Of course, there’s another reason to raise a glass.
