The Sapphire, a ’50s-inspired luxury dining and nightlife spot, opens in Tampa this week

Dinner and drinks just got a luxury upgrade. The Sapphire: Lounge & Supper Club is opening in Tampa this weekend at 4410 West Boy Scout Boulevard, bringing a high-end dining and nightlife destination to the neighborhood.

Billed as a modern supper club, The Sapphire combines fine dining with immersive live entertainment. Drawing inspiration from the glamour of 1950s supper clubs, “The Sapphire blends live music, elevated dining, and intimate VIP exclusivity into one sophisticated destination,” their team explained.

Reservations for dinner are available online through OpenTable, with several options available. Guests can choose the full dining experience, the late-night lounge, or even VIP reservations that include private or semi-private areas and exclusive private entry. The soft opening begins on May 15, welcoming guests to experience its late-night lounge atmosphere with walk-in availability on Wednesdays and Saturdays starting at 9 pm, and Thursdays through Saturdays beginning at 9:30 pm.

The Sapphire is designed to offer an immersive experience that evolves throughout the evening. Guests can enjoy elevated culinary offerings featuring globally sourced seafood, rare prime cuts, and chef-driven seasonal creations. Signature cocktails are presented through tableside mixology and roaming cocktail carts, transforming beverage service into an interactive performance. The venue also features immersive entertainment, including live bands, DJs, and dynamic visual elements.

The full space encompasses 17,000 square feet in TriPointe Plaza, with a variety of dining areas, a massive stage, a a 12-foot LED wall, multiple bars, meeting spaces and more.

The Sapphire is being led by General Manager Stephen Hickey, a Tampa native whose local career began in 2004 at Timpano Chophouse. He most recently served as Managing Partner for the inaugural Eddie V’s Prime Seafood in Tampa, a flagship concept developed by Darden Restaurants. Additionally, guests will enjoy Executive Chef Taro Larrea’s culinary creations, renowned for an innovative fusion of Venezuelan and Spanish flavors.

Operating hours are Wednesday and Sunday from 6 pm to 12 am, and Thursday through Saturday from 6 pm to 2 am. The venue is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Private dining is available daily from 11 am to 11:00 pm. Learn more on their website.
