The results are in, and three Tampa spots can now call themselves Bib Gourmand winners as part of Michelin Guide restaurants. Our three local bright spots are Ichicoro in Seminole Heights, Rooster & The Till in Seminole Heights, and Rocca in Tampa Heights, right next to Armature Works. Our local food scene is one of the many reasons Tampa has been named one of the best places to live in the U.S. right now.
I could live off of Ichicoro’s Karaage Bowl (a gluten-free fried chicken recipe) so I’m no surprised at all by this recognition. The owners of Ichicoro also recently debuted a sensational new restaurant called Gangchu just across the street and the kimchi pancakes are worth a try. Rooster & The Till has already received accolades from all local media outlets, and Ferrell Alvarez has made himself an indispensable part of the Tampa culinary scene. When we put out a call for predictions for the Michelin restaurants Rooster & The Till was the most popular response.

Rocca is a 5-star gem in the city of Tampa. The restaurant offers elevated Italian food with a pasta focus, plus mesmerizing mozzarella made tableside and a huge wine list. This is why it’s one of the top date night spots in the city.
“VISIT FLORIDA, along with our destination partners, Visit Orlando, Visit Tampa Bay and the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau, are thrilled to partner with Michelin to develop a MICHELIN Guide to further establish Florida as a world-renowned culinary destination,” said Dana Young, President and CEO of VISIT FLORIDA. “This gives Florida the opportunity to highlight the dynamic and unexpected culinary adventures the Sunshine State has to offer from locally-grown produce and fresh seafood to unique fusions from cultures around the world.”
