The spookiest speakeasy in Ybor City is ready to reopen. Ybor’s SpookEasy Lounge was a mainstay hidden behind an old bookshelf above the Stone Soup Company. They featured a bevy of horror-themed kava drinks and teas, in addition to the coolest decor you’ve ever seen. SpookEasy’s new location is 1909 N 15th Street. In addition to the gothic lounge you know and love, those seeking spirits can browse the catacombs in the basement. Owners Kat and Evan Traver are ready to bring back Tampa’s cauldron of delights.

Soft Opening Weekend begins September 1 and runs from 7pm-3am. “Join us Labor Day Weekend for our Soft Opening!” wrote the SpookEasy managers. “Our new location is still in Ybor, and we are SO excited to see our regulars (and new faces) again!”

“Our new location has a ton of space, games and fun things to do with your friends, so make some plans to join us!” We are ready to make the SpookEasy our new haunt, and the ultimate lush gothic escape. For those who fret easily, be mindful of the pictures on the wall because they’re known to follow you as you enter the lounge.

SpookEasy Lounge is the most haunted cafe in Tampa

The plans for expansion in Ybor City were first announced back in the spring of 2021. The lounge describes itself as the most haunted kratom and kava bar in the city. The delicate stained glass window, wine red walls and decadent leather seats make you feel like you’re on the set of the original Nosferatu.

Teas on the menu include Vampire Blood, White Witch, and Frankenstein’s monster. Kava lovers can indulge in The Creature, a Hawaiian kava that’s never dried. The brave at heart can sip on The Beetlejuice, a custom blend of three different Fijian kavas.

Guests can also mix herbal teas into their own conceptions. Varieties include Passion flower, Peppermint Leaf, Chai Green, and Wormwood. The SpookEasy serves up Death Wish Coffee, and crafts its own Kava and Kratom Lattes.
