Get ready for one of the greatest musical experiences in the entire Tampa area as The Florida Orchestra brings Pops in the Park to River Tower Park on October 2. This round of Pops in the Park is particularly special because it marks TFO’s 55th season. There are myriad date night options in Tampa, but this evening of pop culture bops under the stars may be the best. This outdoor event it free to attend and begins at 7:30pm.
Residents and visitors are invited to pack a blanket and picnic for free music under the stars. This concert has been a Florida Orchestra tradition for nearly 30 years. The playlist includes iconic film scores, Broadway hits and symphonic favorites. Chelsea Gallo is set to conduct for the evening. The entire show is set against Tampa’s historic River Tower.
Be sure to bring your non-perishable goods for Tampa Bay Harvest’s annual food drive at all parks concerts. On October 1, TFO will host its 55th Anniversary Concert at The Mahaffey Theater on October 1.
