The best foodie event of the year is Tampa Taco Fest, and the savory celebration is officially back on February 25 from 10am-6pm. It also achieves the fantastic superlative as the largest taco celebration in the Tampa Bay region.
The event is set at the gorgeous and spacious Al Lopez Park (4810 N Himes Ave). More than 30 local vendors will be on hand, and ample adult beverages will be on the menu. Dip into fresh made guac, and marvel at the fountains of queso that pour and rise from the dozens of booths.
General Admission tickets are $7 while you can snag VIP tickets for $50 which include a separate VIP entrance and tent with seating, 2 alcoholic beverages from private VIP Bar and your choice of 2 tacos with chips and salsa.
The Tampa Taco Fest is dog-friendly, so feel free to bring Fido to enjoy the day with you. A full margarita bar will also be set up during the event, in addition to a live mariachi band.
Savor the best birria you’ve ever had, enjoy your fill of perfectly seasoned carnitas, and blackened fish and shrimp, and indulge in the myriad flavors that make Tampa a top foodie city.
Tampa Taco Fest is totally family-friendly, too. Select vendors will also offer vegan and vegetarian options, and some gluten-free options will also be available.
Al Lopez Park is one of the most resplendent green spaces in the city of Tampa. This park is made up of approximately 132 acres offering a nature trail, freshwater pond, athletics and a community center.
