Get your boogie shoes on. Good Luck Chuck’s, a dance-fueled retro nightclub, is now open at 410 South Howard Ave., in the former Soho Saloon.
The new nightlife hub, which debuted last week, is designed to “bring guests back to the greatest hits and unforgettable energy of the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s.” Those who can remember any of those decades vividly may blanche at them being called “retro” (especially the ’90s), but it ought to encourage a clientele made up mostly of people who have unironically used a payphone before.

In the renovated space itself, a main bar complements a large dance floor, where the Good Luck Chuck’s team hosts dancing, singing, and general throwback revelry. The two different bars offer a variety of cocktails with throwback inspiration, such as the Mrs. Veronica Vaughn for Billy Madison fans or the Ghostbusters-inspired Ecto One, crafted with a house-made Hi-C Ecto cooler.
In addition to the main dance floor, Good Luck Chuck’s also has a space called the Backstage Room, a secondary space within Good Luck Chuck’s that offers a more laid back environment. “Here guests can enjoy craft cocktails, unwind with friends, and take a break from the high energy dance floor while still being part of the overall experience.”
Beyond dancing and cocktails, Good Luck Chuck’s has a full food menu to offer guests. The elevated pub grub and shareable plates range from chicken wings and cheese sticks to tacos, smashburgers, quesadillas, and build-your-own bowls.
Good Luck Chuck’s is open 4 pm – 2 am Monday-Friday and 12 pm – 2 am on Saturday and Sunday. Follow them on Instagram to see the latest.
