Hurricane Ian caused significant damage in nearby cities such as Ft. Myers, and Port Charlotte. If you want help those most in need, we’ve put together a quick list of places where you can donate (money, pantry items, etc.), volunteer, or help spread general awareness.
With the heartbreaking devastation in Fort Myers, Naples and surrounding areas, Cru Cellars will donate 10% of its sales today through Sunday to World Central Kitchen, a non-profit dedicated to supplying meals in the wake of natural disasters. The organization is currently on site providing emergency food relief to those affected by Hurricane Ian in southwest Florida and throughout the state.

The Glazer family, owners of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, announced Thursday it would be donating $1 million to assist in disaster relief efforts following Hurricane Ian.
The donation will be distributed to “organizations that are providing support to those who have been most impacted by the storm in Southwest Florida and throughout the state,” a team statement announced.
Feeding South Florida
Feeding South Florida – the leading domestic hunger-relief organization in South Florida – is working to ensure those impacted by Hurricane Ian across the State of Florida have clean water and meals ready to eat. The organization is working with families in Florida who were impacted by the storm, as well as sharing its resources to help its sister food banks in other parts of the state. Feeding South Florida is deploying its team members and equipment to the affected areas.

Metropolitan Ministries
Metropolitan Ministries offers comprehensive services for at-risk and homeless families in underserved and impoverished communities.
They are currently offering immediate relief to those impacted by Hurricane Ian. Click HERE to donate.
Florida Disaster Fund
The Florida Disaster Fund is the State of Florida’s official private fund established to assist Florida’s communities as they respond to and recover during times of emergency or disaster. In partnership with the public sector, private sector and other non-governmental organizations, the Florida Disaster Fund supports response and recovery activities.
Donations to the Florida Disaster Fund are made to the Volunteer Florida Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, and are tax deductible. Up to 3%, however, no more than $30,000 will be taken from each donation to cover administrative costs, including but not limited to staff salary, indirect costs and credit card and bank transaction fees.
St. Pete Mamas Helping Mamas
Together with Baby Cycle Diaper Bank & countless St. Pete Mamas, this org will be collecting diapers and donations that will be sent to our neighbors to the south.

Harry Chapin Food Bank
Harry Chapin Food Bank is currently assessing if any damage was sustained at the Fort Myers Distribution Center or Collier County Center after Hurricane Ian. They are prepared to distribute food and water to the people who need it as quickly as it is safe to do so. We will be updating emergency distributions on our website once they are scheduled.
