The Cross-Bay Ferry officially launches on November 1. The high-speed service connecting Tampa and downtown St. Petersburg has proved popular amongst area visitors and residents. Service will run through April 2020, though some hope to see full year-round service going forward.

On October 18, the barges arrived on the St. Pete waterfront to mark the start of the ferry season. Fares cost $8 for Adults, $5 for Seniors, Military, and College Students, $3 for children ages 5-18, and kids 4 and under ride free.

The vessel can carry up to 149 passengers at a time with indoor and outdoor seating. Regular 2-wheel bicycles can be stored on the ferry.

Service animals are allowed on board. Other pets may be allowed on board the ferry on a case by case basis. You can call 727-273-5932 for more details.

The service recently released the full ferry schedule. There will be no service on Mondays and Tuesdays, unless there’s a Lightning game happening at Amalie Arena. Happy to have more Bolts fans on this side of the bridge!
