Another day, another major nonstop route announced for Tampa International Airport (TPA). Airport officials have revealed that nonstop service from Tampa to Amsterdam will resume this October aboard Delta Airlines. Flights will operate 7 days a week and tickets go on sale May 4.
“We’re grateful to Delta for creating a prime European connection through this nonstop service to Amsterdam, which we know will be popular with both Tampa Bay area residents and European travelers looking to experience our sunshine, beaches and other attractions this winter,” Airport CEO Joe Lopano said. “We’re looking forward to supporting the route and continuing a strong partnership with Delta, which always provides a world-class experience for our passengers.”

Amsterdam has been a targeted destination for TPA as the Airport continues to grow its nonstop trans-Atlantic service in partnership with local convention and visitors bureaus, economic development organizations, and business partners, wrote TPA representatives in a press release.
TPA will continue to see increases in its nonstop services to major international destinations. Airlines will double their services to San Juan, and Zurich from the airport soon, as well as Panama City. Nonstop flights to Mexico City will also launch very soon.
Pro tip: use the express lanes for arrivals and departures if you aren’t checking bags. It’s also a good idea to arrive early if only because TPA is basically and big local art gallery pre-security.
