Gaspar's Grotto, the famed pirate-themed restaurant and bar, will be featured on Travel Channel's Foodie Paradise Sunday, July 17. What makes Gaspar's so alluring? Their festive atmosphere, boozey brunches and Cuban specialties set them apart from most other spots. Going all in on the pirate theme, the restaurant features The Grotto, The Galley and The Sandbar.
The main menu features Gaspar's fish tacos (catch of the day, grotto slaw, queso fresco, purple onions, topped with their special taco seasoning), tostones with mojo marinated shredded pork, pulled pork/crab and shrimp quesadillas and their plank flank steak salad. Specials change daily. which range from arroz con pollo, Cuban sandwiches and picadillo to ropa vieja and pescado fresco a la rusa.

If you're looking to enjoy live music and $25 buckets of grog, The Galley is where you need to go. The Sandbar is Ybor's first 21+ outdoor party lounge. Each weekend The Sandbar features drink specials, dancers, a live DJ and a roof show. Of course the foodie endeavor begins and ends with Davey Jones' Ghost of a Chance Hot Wing Challenge. Disclaimer: we joined Davey Jones' Locker because those wings are HOT.
Gaspar's will be screening the episode on Sunday. They'll be serving free beer and Cuban sandwiches beginning at 8pm. Gaspar's Grotto is located at 1805 East 7th Avenue.
