Friday Concerts in the Park
Food trucks onsite. Bring your blankets and low back chair and enjoy concerts along the Hillsborough River at Tampa’s historic River Tower Park.

With Big Ray’s Fish Camp scheduled to open next month, the monthly Brews & Bites food truck rally will be taking a break. But not without one last hurrah! Spamilton at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts (May 10–12)
Don’t miss this “convulsively funny” (New York Times) parody from the comic mastermind behind the long-running hit Forbidden Broadway. After tearing it up in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles, Spamilton: An American Parody will stage a singing, dancing, comedy revolution in Tampa for a limited time only. Saturday Sweat Sesh
Spend an hour working out in one of Tampa’s lovely parks. The workout is typically a fun mix of cardio and strength training for all fitness levels. Things to bringa yoga mat or large towel, water. Wearing sunscreen is recommended. Workout gear, including closed toed tennis shoes, is required.

The historic Tampa Theatre, in partnership with Tampa International Airport, is putting on this free cinema series coming to the airport’s new event space. The family-friendly series follows on the success of Tampa Theatre’s recent parkCINEMA program. The Airport recently completed the largest construction program in its history with a major Main Terminal renovation, 69 new shops and restaurants, a 1.4-mile automated people mover extending to a new multi-level rental car facility, and seven new public art installations. The airCINEMA screening will take place near the F shuttle at a brand new event space that features a stage and an outdoor deck with seating for guests. The 2019 airCINEMA lineup will kick off with a screening of Disney/Pixar’s Planes. Keep an eye out for the 1980 disaster parody Airplane! in the fall.
