Pause: How Tampa Theatre Does Happy Hour
Tampa Theatre is inviting you to take a moment out of your day, experience the grandeur of this 1926 movie palace and be reminded of a time before cell phones tethered us to our responsibilities in real time, when it was okay to gather with friends, share a drink, and engage in conversation. This Friday the Theatre will open its lobby from 4:30 – 6:30 pm. No ticket is required to join us under that iconic TAMPA marquee in heart of downtown for drink specials at the bar and $2 off our famous popcorn.

Summer Classics: Safety Last! (1923)
The image of silent-film comedy genius Harold Lloyd hanging from a skyscraper by the hands of a giant clock remains one of the most iconic single images of American cinema. The story of a small-town boy picking up odd jobs in the big city to scrape together enough money to marry his girlfriend, Safety Last! is a series of hilarious and escalating set pieces. He gets in trouble with the law, gets humiliated by his roommate, embarrasses his manager at the store, and does it all with the élan of one of the era’s greatest physical performers. Come out to watch with timeless classic only at the Tampa Theatre.
