Water Street Realized: Groundbreaking ceremony planned for residential towers

It feels like the multi-billion dollar district, Water Street Tampa, was announced only yesterday. Blink and you’ll miss the progress. On November 30, Sparkman Wharf, part biergarten, part dining garden, part events lawn, will officially open to the public.

Before that bastion of deliciousness debuts, Strategic Property Partners and city officials will break ground on another exciting development called 815 Water Street — a building comprised of two residential towers. One will rise 21 stories while the other will rise 26 stories.

There will be a grocery store on the ground floor, which is expected to be the Channelside Drive area’s own Publix. and retail, too.

“815 Water Street is expected to open in 2020,” wrote the developers behind Water Street in Facebook post. “[815 Water Street] will promote wellness with designs that incorporate natural light, private terraces with sweeping views, and lush green roofs.”
