This news outlet just listed it as one of the best large airports in America, and voting is open now to the public. voting open through Monday, October 2, at noon ET. Fans of TPA can vote up to once a day until polls close.
A panel of industry experts and editors at the publication chose TPA as a nominee for Best Large Airport, up against major hubs including O’ Hare International Airport (ORD) in Chicago, Miami International Airport (MIA) and John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York.

One of Tampa International Airport’s best local restaurants, Bavaro’s Pizza Napoletana & Pastaria is also up for a 10Best Award in the airport grab-and-go food category. Located at TPA’s Airside C, Bavaro’s is best known for its wood-fired brick ovens, 100-year-old Neapolitan recipes, and top-of-the-line ingredients sourced directly from Italy. The Bavaro family opened their first location in Downtown Tampa in 2009 and now has three additional restaurants across the Tampa Bay area, including their location at TPA.
