Monday Meditation at Tampa Museum of Art

What is the best way to relax after a long day of work? Especially a long Monday at work?meditation. Join the Museum and Parbawatiya Kadampa Buddhist Center for a short after work meditation class.  This is a perfect way to step away from the loud, fast paced world and learn to reduce your stress for the rest of the week.  The classes consist of guided meditations, a talk and discussion.  They are suitable for everyone from beginners to those with more experience in meditation.  Each class is self-contained, although you are welcome to attend the whole course. Runs from 5:30-7pm. $10 per person. Tampa Museum of Art, 120 West Gasparilla Plaza. 

Summer Camp for Children: Perfecting Portraiture at Florida Museum of Photographic Arts

Students will learn the basics about photography with an emphasis on portraiture. They will learn about famous portrait photographers Annie Leibovitz and Cindy Sherman. They will practice perfecting their portraits and self portraits throughout the downtown area. The students will post their best photos to Instagram and Snapchat daily (With parents permission). This one week workshop goes from July 13-17. 10-4pm each day. $175 standard price, $155 member price. Follow this link for more information. Late Night Happy Hour at Bella's Italian Cafe

Voo Davis at Skipper's Smokehouse 

Voo Davis is a mix of Hendrix and Buddy Guy influences. His blues – rock chops make each and every show a pure audio experience. He will perform at Skipper's Smokehouse on Tuesday night. Begins at 7pm. Tickets are $5. Skipper's Smokehouse, 901 Skipper Road. 

Pedals and Pints at Ferg's Live

Ferg's Live hosts a monthly bike ride from Ferg's Live Tampa to Davis Island and back, with drink specials for all cyclists, and fun raffles and giveaways after the ride! It is FREE to join, but pre-registration is encouraged. Their partners, Orangetheory Fitness Channelside, Coast Bike Share, and Florida Bike Tours, will help guide the ride ensuring safety for all riders regardless of experience level. Don't own your own bicycle? Coast Bike Share has you covered. They have a full bike hub directly in front of Ferg's Live, with plenty of bikes to rent by the hour or by the day. Begins at 6:30pm. Live After Five at Channelside Bay Plaza

Unwind and network with friends, co-workers and business professionals in a fun and casual atmosphere the third thursday of every month at Live After Five- Tampa Bay's LARGEST free networking happy hour and entertainment celebration! Grateful Dead Nite with Uncle John's Band at Skipper's Smokehouse

UJB has been faithfully bringing the music and spirit of the Grateful Dead to Skipper’s every Thursday at Skipper’s since 1998. Show begins at 8pm. FREE and open to the public. Skipper's Smokehouse, 910 Skipper Road. 

Latin Night at Maestro's Restaurant

Maestro's proudly presents its Latin Nights series, an evening of food and dancing. Meet new friends, experience Latin-inspired tapas and drink specials and dance to the thrilling rhythms of a live salsa band and DJ. Aaron Gillespie at New World Brewery

Aaron Gillepsie of Underoath, William Beckett of The Academy Is…, Nathan Hussey of All Get Out, and Lauren Rotz will perform live this Thursday at New World Brewery. Doors open at 7pm, show starts at 7:30pm. Tickets are $13. New World Brewery, 1313 East 8th Avenue.  

Patel Conservatory presents Shrek the Musical at TECO Theater

Everyone’s favorite ogre and his storybook pals come to the Patel Conservatory stage in this professional-quality full-length production of Dreamworks’ TONY Award-winning Shrek The Musical.
