Celebrating its 40th anniversary, Straz Center for the Performing Arts’ annual eat-and-drink extravaganza returns for its biggest-ever celebration this spring. TASTE at the Straz is back on Saturday, March 29 at 7 pm, taking over the block in the heart of downtown Tampa from Tyler Street to Straz’s Arrival Plaza showcasing the Bay area’s best food, craft brews, cocktails and more.
With indoor and outdoor access to over 40 restaurants, 10+ craft breweries, and four stages of live music for one all-inclusive price, TASTE at the Straz is a fun evening of eating, drinking and indulging in our region’s extraordinary epicurean culture. TASTE at the Straz is one of our favorite events on the calendar every spring, and it’s far more than just a fun evening in downtown Tampa. As the Straz Center’s signature fundraising event, this event raises essential funds needed to keep the arts alive in our vibrant city. The proceeds not only sustain the Straz Center’s artistic programs on its stages but also support their education and outreach programs throughout the community.
Tampa’s tastiest food and drink festival
One of our favorite aspects of TASTE every year is the opportunity to see dozens of Tampa’s best chefs flex their creative muscles in this lively setting. So many of the area’s best restaurants and cafes will be represented at this event, with culinary stars creating specialty dishes just for this beloved festival. Come March 29, we get to try as many of those tasty delights as we want.
Plus, TASTE also serves as an excellent craft beer festival, welcoming the region’s best and most award-winning breweries to showcase their latest new brews. Meanwhile, stellar mixologists will be at work crafting handmade cocktails to pair with all the incredible food.
Add in the four stages of live music spread indoors and out, and it’s easy to see why TASTE is one of Tampa’s most popular festivals every year.
Organizers say this year’s rendition will be the biggest one ever in celebration of TASTE’s 40th anniversary. “For one all-inclusive price, you’ll enjoy delicious bites from Tampa Bay’s top chefs, sip on creative cocktails and craft brews, and groove to live entertainment – all while supporting another magnificent year of world-class performances, arts education programs and community engagement initiatives.”

- General admission tickets start at $95 and provide you with all-inclusive food, craft brews, cocktails, and more with multiple stages for live music. GA entry begins at 7 pm.
- VIP admission starts at $175, and includes access to VIP lounge areas and entrance to the event one hour prior to general admission. This is in addition to the regular perks of a GA ticket (all-inclusive food and brews and multiple stages of live music).
- VIP tables run $2,250. Your purchase of a VIP table includes early admission to the event, a guaranteed reserved table for 10 and access to exclusive VIP lounges.
TASTE at the Straz will be held at 1010 N W. C. MacInnes Place on Saturday, March 29. Events take place indoors at The Straz as well as outside along the Tampa Riverwalk.
