Tampa is one of the best cities for dog parks in America, according to new ranking

Tampa is a dog-friendly city, and it was just named the 4th best city for dog parks in the country by LawnStarter. To come up with their ranking, LawnStarter compared 98 of the biggest U.S. cities based on Access, Quality, and Climate. More specifically, they factored in the number of dog parks per 100,000 two-legged residents, visitor ratings, and historical weather data, among eight total metrics.

Our city ranked 7th for dog parks per 100,000 residents, and 6th for top rated dog parks. Tampa boasts 16 beautiful “Barks & Recreation” operated dog parks. Here’s full guide to spots to bring your pooch:

There are also 242 dog-friendly restaurants in Tampa, Florida (18th-highest), as well as 62.5 pet stores and vet offices per 10,000 establishments (39th-highest).
