In 2025, Universal Orlando Resort will debut its most ambitious theme park yet: Universal Epic Universe (which includes Super Nintendo World!). EpicUniverse will present a level of theme park immersion and innovation that is unmatched – transporting guests to expansive worlds featuring more than 50 awe-inspiring attractions, entertainment, dining, and shopping experiences that come together to create an unforgettable adventure that is nothing short of epic. The addition of Universal Orlando’s fourth theme park will also transform the award-winning resort into a weeklong vacation destination filled with the most compelling experiences imaginable.

The expanded Universal Epic Universe park will include Super Nintendo World. You have probably already seen photos and videos from the completed park on the West Coast at Universal Hollywood. A Mario Kart Ride, a Toadstool Cafe, tons of little Easter eggs for diehard gamers, and more are spread throughout the park. In just over a year, Orlando will also have its own Super Nintendo World. Let’s hope we can expedite the buildout on that Brightline connection so I don’t have to drive I-4 every time I need an immersive Nintendo fix.

Slated to open in the summer of 2025, Orlando’s Super Nintendo World will open with three rides, including Mario Kart and a Donkey Kong-inspired coaster, as well as interactive Power-Up band activities. According to reports, it will be the largest Super Nintendo park in the world.

Harry Potter expansions, and a portal to the Dark Universe

The newest addition to the the Wizarding World of Harry Potter will be the Ministry of Magic.  This is where guests will discover a different era of the wizarding world in an all-new land that blends 1920s wizarding Paris from Warner Bros. Pictures’ Fantastic Beasts films with the iconic British Ministry of Magic from the Harry Potter series.

Horror Fanatics will fall in love with the forthcoming Dark Universe. This is where guests encounter everything from the experiments of Dr. Victoria Frankenstein to the shadowy landscape where monsters roam in a world of myth and mystery.

You can learn more about the park now open in California online. Sign up for updates on the Orlando location on Universal’s website.

If you’re down for local thrills, we highly recommend visiting Busch Gardens. A brand new ride, Serengeti Flyer, will open this February. Adventure Island Water Park is primed to open with a new splash zone for kids in March.
