A missing piece in Tampa’s music calendar is making a grand return, with plenty of changes after the wait. Organizers announced that Sunset On The River Music & Arts Festival will take place February 20-21, 2027, at Julian B. Lane Waterfront Park.
The celebration of electronic dance music is a re-imagined version of the Sunset Music Festival, which hasn’t taken place since 2023. The big difference is a switch from the sprawling grounds at Raymond James Stadium to the more intimate downtown park. With the same organizers as before, Sunset Events and Disco Presents, Sunset On The River is aiming to create a more upscale experience.

Attendance will be limited to 21+, and festivities take place from 3-11 pm each day. “Blind” presale tickets are available now ahead of the upcoming announcements for performers. Currently, only two-day tickets are available, with four options ranging from GA to Ultra VIP.
While we wait on more details, organizers are promising a more “boutique, luxury” experience for the re-imagined festival.
“This experience is curated for music lovers, tastemakers, and those who seek elevated cultural moments,” the website states. “This music festival builds on everything fans have loved about Sunset while intentionally shifting toward a more intimate, premium experience. Set against the stunning waterfront serenity of the Hillsborough River, and focused exclusively on curated music, immersive arts, elevated hospitality, and golden-hour magic.”
