SIX brings Tudor Queens and Pop Icons to downtown Tampa

From Tudor Queens to Pop Icons, the SIX wives of Henry VIII take the microphone to remix five hundred years of historical heartbreak into a Euphoric Celebration of 21st century girl power. Performances begin in November and tickets can be reserved online.

This new original musical is the global sensation that everyone is losing their head over! Featuring an all-woman cast and all-woman band, SIXhas won 23 awards in the 2021/2022 Broadway season, including the Tony Award® for Best Original Score (Music and Lyrics) and the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Musical.

Juggernaut Hamilton returns to the Straz Center

Get ready for one of the most popular, and award-winning musicals of all-time to arrive in Tampa. Hamilton returns to Straz December 28-January 22. Hamilton is currently only on sale to current donors and Broadway season ticket holders. Public on-sale is still to be announced.

Hamilton is the story of America then, told by America now.  Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway, Hamilton has taken the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton and created a revolutionary moment in theater—a musical that has had a profound impact on culture, politics, and education.  
 
With book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, Hamilton is based on Ron Chernow’s acclaimed biography. It has won Tony®, Grammy®, and Olivier Awards, the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and an unprecedented special citation from the Kennedy Center Honors.

Acclaimed comedians bring nationwide and world tours to Tampa

There’s even more to discover at the Straz Center outside of Broadway hits. Global sensation, bestselling author, and award-winning comedian Jim Gaffigan brings his standup tour to Tampa on October 15. Former late night host, musician, actor, and comedian Craig Ferguson will arrive at the Straz Center on October 20.

The one and only Jonathan Van Ness, the breakout star of Netflix’s Queer Eye, and sensational podcast host behind Getting Curious, brings his “Imaginary Living Room Olympian” tour to the Straz stage on October 28. Tickets can be reserved in advance on the venue’s website.
