Pirate Water Taxi adds hand sanitizers to all boats, relaunching service soon

Tampa’s Pirate Water Taxi is one of the funnest ways to explore the city. Enjoy lunch at Armature Works and then take a ride down Hillsborough River to the Sparkman Wharf area for a drink. That was of course until this pandemic hit.

Putting safety first, Tampa businesses have only just begun slowly opening their doors to the public. Pirate Water Taxi is currently taking steps to begin serving the community once again.

One of the new additions is hand sanitizer stations on every vessel. Guests will also be required to wash their hands before boarding.

Riders can enjoy their trip in comfort knowing taxis will be sanitized/cleaned before, during and after each loop with an emphasis on cleaning high touch points.

Capacity will also be reduced aboard each vessel to further ensure social distancing.

Pirate Water Taxi officials have implemented employee health screenings prior to starting their shift including temperature checks. All crew will be required to wear a face mask during trips.

An official relaunch date is still to be announced, but service should begin before the end of May.
