Izakaya Tori, a tapas restaurant, has opened a new concept in the former Fly Bar location at 442 W Kennedy Boulevard. Tori Bar, a Japanese pub, is already garnering major praise. This hot new pub focuses on Japanese whisky, handroll sushi, grill skewers, sashimi, and Japanese tapas. Visitors can find complimentary parking inside the Altis Parking garage.
Raved about Tori Bar menu items include braised pork belly, lamb lollipop, and chimichurri ribeye yakitori skewers. The Matcha martini is a spirited green dream, as is the matcha creme brulee.

Need somethign hardy? Order up the steak tataki (seared New York strip, garlic soy, wasabi aioli). Another tantalizing option is the Hokkaido Scallop Truffle Carpaccio featuring scallops, truffle paste, ikura, and soy dashi. While this is a Japanese pub, there are tons of mocktail options available – just ask your bartender and they’ll give you a few recommendations.
Tori Bar is open Monday through Thurday from 4pm until midnight; and Friday and Saturday from 4pm-2am. Tables are currently available on a walk-in basis. Follow the restaurant on Instagram for updates.

They also operate a full tapas restaurant at 310 S Dale Mabry Hwy #160. Their menu consists of favorites such as Yellowtail Jalapeno Carpaccio, Lotus Root Chips Guacamole, Kimchi Octopus, Agedashi Tofu, Garlic Butter Shrimp, BBQ Eel on Rice, and Mi-So-Hot Ramen.
