Get ready for a snow day in Tampa

Yes, there’s snow to be seen and experienced in Florida before 2018 ends.

Who could forget the famous January day in 1977 when Tampa got covered in snow? ABC Action News has an entire photo gallery dedicated to the historic event.

The Florida Aquarium is giving kids the chance to frolic in REAL snow through December 31. The aquarium’s snow play area is open from noon-5pm, Dec. 28-31.

Access to the snow play area. Is included. With the cost of admission.

On December 29, the Florida. Aquarium will also host a sensory snow day.

Children with sensory differences and their families can enjoy all of the snow day fun in. A low stress environment, according to representatives from the Aquarium.

Sensory Snow Day will be held Saturday, Dec. 29 from 10:30am-noon.

Sensory headphones will be available at Guest Services upon request.

The Florida Aquarium is located at 701 Channelside Drive.
