Nobody tell Pats fans, but New England’s favorite coffee shop is wearing Bucs colors this weekend. Dunkin’ Donuts is giving away Dunkin’-branded Tampa Bay Buccaneers crossover hats this Sunday at its stores throughout the region.
It sounded a little cheesy at first, but for any Bucs fan who enjoys the occasional Dunkin’ iced coffee or breakfast sandwich, it’s actually a pretty cool hat. At the very least, it’s the kind of team gear you won’t be able to buy in a store. The limited-edition hat drop comes ahead of the Bucs’ game against the Atlanta Falcons at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday.

The details are straightforward, if not mildly vague in parts. The first 25 guests at each participating Dunkin’ location in the Tampa Bay Area who purchase a medium or large beverage this Sunday, November 1, will receive a free Dunkin’ x Buccaneers co-branded hat. It’s limited to one hat per person per purchase.
The only catch there is the each participating store portion of the directions. The Bucs and Dunkin’ both used the same “participating Dunkin’ locations in the Tampa Bay area only” verbiage, with a link to the Dunkin’ store finder. Presumably, almost any store listed there should be part of the giveaway. If it were me, I’d be aiming for a standalone store as opposed to anything in a gas station or food court.
The majority of Dunkin’ stores open at 5 am, with a few even opening at 4 am, so if you want to be one of the first 25 at your nearest spot, we’d recommend calling it an early night on Halloween. And don’t forget the time change early Sunday morning.
While Dunkin’ may famously have Boston roots, the pairing makes sense. Dunkin’ Donuts is “The Official Coffee Partner of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.” We didn’t mind Tom Brady shipping down from Boston, and we sure don’t mind Dunkin’, either.
The giveaway is also taking place in Orlando and Fort Myers. The announcement didn’t specify what all qualifies as Tampa Bay. Anything in Tampa should work, of course, but if you’re outside of Tampa or even Hillsborough, it would be worth calling your local store ahead of time before you get up at 4 am.
