It was Colonel Mustard on the … Tampa Riverwalk? An immersive new experience from Straz Center for the Performing Arts is bringing everyone’s favorite murder mystery board game to life with Clue: A Walking Mystery.

In this IRL version of the beloved game, the murder was never solved and everything in the mansion was sold to businesses on the Riverwalk, meaning it’s up to participants to gather clues as they track down the missing evidence and figure out who murdered the elusive Mr. Boddy. Full of surprises, the immersive walking tour begins at Straz Center (1010 N Macinnes Pl) and ends at Armature Works, with tours taking place every Thursday-Sunday from April 17 – May 11. Tickets are available now.

In this new spin on everyone’s favorite mystery game, the murderer is still at-large, and guests will step into the roles of the beloved CLUE characters (Mayor Green, Colonel Mustard, Solicitor Peacock, Professor Plum, Miss Scarlett and Chef White), acting as detectives as they work together to unmask the killer.

Become a detective and solve the world’s great murder mystery

Determined to finally catch the culprit, the newly minted detectives are instructed by the butler and sent off in search of clues to be found in the furniture that came from the iconic rooms in Tudor Mansion (the Library, the Billiard Room, the Ballroom, etc.), now located on Tampa’s Riverwalk. Searching for these long-lost antiques will challenge players to be the first group to figure out WHO did it, WHERE, and with WHAT?

Participating detectives will be greeted by the butler at Straz Center and given their instructions before being sent on their way to solve the mystery, gathering clues from popular Tampa sites and shops downtown along the Riverwalk. The experience takes around one hour, depending on the speed (and skills) of the detectives.

The interactive experience is the perfect group outing for friends or families, challenging detectives at their skills of deduction as they race against each other (and the clock!) to find Mr. Boddy’s killer.

Plus, once you’ve worked up an appetite searching for clues, you’ll close the case at Armature Works, perfectly placed to have a celebratory dinner or drinks.

Running from April 17 through May 11, start times for Clue: A Walking Mystery are every 20 minutes on Thursdays and Fridays from 5-7 pm, and Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am – 7 pm. Tickets start at $39 and can be purchased in advance online, or at Straz Center Ticket Sales Office, 1010 N Macinnes Place.
