Wright’s Gourmet House is a South Tampa legend, and now you can get them on the go any time you like in Hyde Park. Tuesday, October 20 marks the debut of Wright’s Market at Oxford Exchange, bringing so many of their bakery favorites to the neighborhood.
The new spot is a bakery and gourmet retail concept centered on favorites from 63 years of feeding Tampa. The market offers cakes, pastries, breads, cookies and other bakery stars, alongside bottled sauces, bucket bread loaves, pints of icing, take-and-bake cinnamon rolls, branded merchandise and seasonal offerings. Located next to the bookstore at Oxford Exchange (420 W Kennedy Blvd) the market is open seven days a week from 7:30 am – 5:30 pm.

Designed to fit “the way customers shop and celebrate now,” the Oxford Exchange location will focus exclusively on bakery and gourmet goods. Lovers of the famous Wright’s sandwiches will still need to visit their longtime home at the original location in South Tampa (1200 S Dale Mabry Hwy).
The goal is to offer a quick and convenient way to access the premium goods Wright’s is known for, giving locals a new option for “picking up a cake for the weekend, finding a host gift, bringing home pastries for the next morning or stocking the freezer with a familiar favorite.” Wright’s also says it will use the new market as a home for seasonal product drops, tastings, gifting moments and wedding cake consultations.
Founded in Tampa by Pete and Marjorie Wright, Wright’s Gourmet House has been serving the community for 63 years. Known for its bakery, cakes, sandwiches and celebration-worthy favorites, Wright’s has remained a trusted part of local traditions while continuing to find new ways to serve its customers.
