UT men make program history and capture the NCAA Swimming Championship

It was a big weekend for the University of Tampa’s swim team. For the first time in program history, the University of Tampa has claimed the 2024 NCAA Division II men’s swimming and diving national championship. The Spartan women also turned in their sixth consecutive top-10 finish with a seventh-place showing.

Tampa, led by head coach Jimi Kiner, claimed its first national title after leading with a total of 473 points. Drury fell behind the Spartans with 409 points.

The 2024 NCAA Division II men’s and women’s swimming and diving championships began on Wednesday, March 27, at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, and continued through the last events on Saturday, March 16 in Geneva, Ohio at the SPIRE Institute Aquatics Center. Below you will find the complete results of each day through the 2024 championship.

The USF Men’s Basketball team also received a bid in the NIT and will look to capture some championship glory this spring. Our Bulls will face University of Central Florida in the first round. That game takes place on March 19 at 9pm.
