There’s a Dole Whip truck in Tampa Bay that you need to track down

That’s right, you don’t have to go to Disney to get your Dole Whip fix anymore. The pineapple-flavored vegan soft serve ice cream is a staple item for one Tampa food truck. Pineapple Shack, we are yours.

The treat is seriously refreshing. It’s a bit tangy with a lingering sweetness that is so clutch on a hot Florida day. When you live somewhere where summer is endless, this the indulgence you should seek.

Dole Whip arrives in Tampa Bay

Yes, you can enjoy the dessert in the absorbent cone it was originally intended for, but the Pineapple Shack has a few signature variations on the item. The aloha colada whip mixes non-alcoholic Pina-Colada with Dole Whip, whipped cream, toasted coconut and a cherry.

Want to double down on the sweetness? Order the Pineapple Shack’s Dole Whip float. The fruity ice cream is swirled right on top of a glass of Dole pineapple juice.

There are also several seasonal treats like Dole Whip rum cake, Dole Whip shakes made with pineapple chunks, Dole Whip-topped short cake and an icy Dole Whip drink.

Pineapple Shack whips up its own ButterBrew

Hey, Harry Potter fans, this food truck also serves ButterBrew, which may be even better than Butter Beer, no cruciatus curses please. How is it made? Creamy vanilla ice cream is enrobed in a craft butterscotch soda and drizzled with buttery caramel sauce. Pure dessert magic.

If you happen to have any room for more dessert, treat yourself to one of Pineapple Shack’s colossal chocolate chip cookies.

Gluten-free and vegan options available

There are plenty of gluten-free, vegan and dairy-free options for all visitors to enjoy. Want to see where the truck will pop up next? Follow it on Facebook and Instagram for updates. You can also track food truck events by following Gulf to Bay Food Truck Association on Facebook.

The Pineapple Shack was most recently spotted at the St. Pete Seafood and Sweets Festival.
