It’s been remarkable to witness the food boom in the Tampa Bay region. I believe The Hall on Franklin was a major catalyst for the renaissance in Tampa Heights, and the city overall.
The food hall on Franklin Street is home to one of the most viral bakeries in the entire state, Bake’n Babes, and some of the best fried chicken this blogger has ever devoured, thank you very much Fork and Hen.

The Hall goes to The EDGE District
Now, the trendy food hub is spreading its wings and opening new concepts in St. Pete, The Hall on Central, and Orlando respectively.
The 12,000-square-foot Hall on Central in St. Petersburg’s EDGE District is joined by a Moxy Hotel, and a retail arcade. It’s set to fully activate one of the most booming blocks in our neighboring city. We’re excited to see what local/regional concepts they add to the food hall as it gets closer to opening in 2020.
Arriving at The Yard at Ivanhoe
Developers behind The Hall on Franklin have also been tapped to create a 13,000-square-foot food hall inside The Yard at Ivanhoe in Orlando, according to the Orlando Sentinel. This concept is set to feature 10 restaurants. The chefs behind Fork & Hen and Fork & Gallina (go try the grilled octopus ASAP) are set to join the Orlando concept.
