Tampa Walls Mural School, Tampa Heights YMCA, Mergeculture Gallery, and Tampa Regional Artists have come together to offer a comprehensive course on murals, graffiti, and street art. This unique program equips participants with the necessary tools, techniques, methods, and a deep understanding of the history behind these vibrant art forms.

Program participants, aspiring artists, will be transforming a blank wall located in Tampa Heights into a masterpiece this week. This project is also supported by Engage Current and the friends and family of Matt Callahan, a local muralist who passed away in 2018.

Tampa Walls helps create public art installations throughout the city

Inspired by artist Matt Callahan‘s legacy, Mural School continues the tradition of shared learning, skill sharing, and community development in the arts through collaborative public art projects. It partners with local non-profit organizations and the community to create public art installations that educate, empower, and inspire. The first Mural School program was at Broward Elementary school and featured artist Detour.

If you are interested in helping out with the mural project, check out the volunteer form. You can also donate toward the program using this link.
