TPA expands nonstop service and amenities
Tampa International Airport continues to make headlines as renovations at the airport take shape. While we’re excited about all of the new amenities that will soon be available — from food to retail — we find ourselves most excited about the new nonstop flights coming from Tampa. Direct flights from Tampa to Havana just launched, direct flights to San Francisco and Iceland are set to begin soon and Lufthansa’s trips between Frankfurt and TPA remain popular.
Southwest to begin nonstop service to LaGuardia Airport
Now you can add nonstop service to New York’s Laguardia airport courtesy of Southwest Airlines. Fares for the nonstop flights, which will operate twice-a-day, will run as low as $89. With NYC being one of the most popular destinations for TPA travelers, providing nonstop service to the area was inevitable.

“Southwest Airlines is pleased to bring nonstop service to New York’s LaGuardia Airport, the number one market for the Tampa community,” said Andrew Watterson, Senior Vice President, Network and Revenue, at Southwest Airlines. “We are here to connect our customers to the places and people that are important in their lives, in ways that no other airline in Tampa can—with our low fares, up to two bags that fly free, and no change fees.”
Flights will depart TPA at 5:40am and 2:35pm daily, with return flights from LaGuardia departing at 8:55am and 6:15pm daily. Reservations are available now and can be booked on Southwest’s website.
