Guy Fieri heard the words “Michelin-recommended donuts” and came running. Celebrities – they’re just like us.
The spiky-haired star and host of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives made headlines when he recently was seen filming around Tampa, visiting some of the city’s most celebrated institutions. Now, we know when we’ll get our first look at his experience, with Supernatural Food & Wine sharing that they will be on an episode of Triple D airing Friday, May 22, at 9 pm on Food Network.

Supernatural, which earned official Michelin recommendation last year for its locally-famous (and soon-to-be world famous) breakfast sandwiches and sourdough donuts, is hosting a watch party for the episode’s first airing at Mighty Fine and Late Start Brewing (1018 E Cass Street). The party starts at 8:30 pm, and this experience will be the inverse of the Super Bowl: talk all you want during the commercials, but zip it once the action starts.
As part of the festivities, there will be a keg of beer supplying free brews until it runs out, as well as a one-time-only run of Supernatural X FT shirts available. You’ll want to arrive early to get yours.
In the announcement, Supernatural shared that the Mayor of Flavortown actually visited the restaurant twice, taping on April 8 and 12 last month while in town. The two appearances were among several throughout the city, and we’re looking forward to seeing if any more of our favorite spots made the list for DDD.
If you haven’t been to Supernatural before, or if it’s just been a little too long, you might be wise to visit now. Appearances on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives have famously sent crowds flocking to restaurants in numbers large enough to make it tough for regulars to get their usual fix. If there’s anyone we trust to stay true to their roots, however, it’s Supernatural. We know we can count on that breakfast sandwich being there for us through thick and thin.
