Dubbed “Tampa Bay’s best Family Reunion,” the region’s biggest Juneteenth festival is back for another huge year. The 4th Annual R.O.C. The Block Juneteenth Festival is being hosted on Saturday, June 15 from 3-9 pm at Raymond James Stadium.
The family-friendly cultural festival is a sprawling extravaganza that draws thousands to the grounds outside Ray J, and organizers say this year’s rendition will be the best and biggest one yet. The full lineup for the day includes so many of our festival favorites: dozens of the area’s best food trucks and chefs; a massive local market; live music on stage all afternoon and night; and a gigantic kids zone for the children to run around and play games.
To cap it all off, festivities end with a fireworks show over the stadium. Attractions also include rides with Slingshot of Tampa Bay, an “Arts District,” and even a free 5K. And the best part: attendance to the festival is completely free for all ages. Guests simply have to register in advance online, and they’ll be issued a wristband at the stadium that allows access to all the fun and activities the Juneteenth Festival has to offer.
The sprawling festival is truly a spectacle, with dancing happening all day and night by the stage, which will be graced by local stars and national acts alike. The festival grounds are filled with games, gigantic inflatables for kids, interactive arts and games, and dozens upon dozens of the region’s most talented makers, chefs, artists, vendors and more.
The Juneteenth Festival is hosted annually by the local group R.O.C. The Block, a team of young multi-industry creatives united for the sole purpose of “Reconditioning Our Communities.” The group got its start in 2021 when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers hosted the Super Bowl, and R.O.C. The Block formed to create events showcasing Black-owned businesses in the community alongside all the Super Bowl fanfare.
Since then, they’ve been throwing some of Tampa’s best parties year-round, shining a light on local talent and creating opportunities for all communities to come together and celebrate each other. This year’s Juneteenth Festival will be one of their biggest events yet, making it a must-visit.
