OnBikes, a Tampa-based nonprofit dedicated to providing bicycles to at-risk children, has announced that multi-platinum indie pop sensation Fitz and The Tantrums will headline the 13th Annual Winter Wonder Ride. This event isn’t out of your league and will make your hands clap. Okay, puns are done.

Set for Saturday, December 14, 2024, the highly anticipated event will take place at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park (600 N Ashley Dr) in downtown Tampa. This year’s theme, Après Ski After Party, encourages attendees to embrace cozy, mountain-style vibes in the heart of Tampa Bay. Participants are invited to wear “ski lodge chic” attire, from puffy jackets and vintage ski suits to fur-lined hats, cozy scarves, and bold retro goggles, channeling the ultimate festive look.

Bringing the retro ski party energy to Tampa

“We’re pumped to have Fitz and The Tantrums bring their high-energy performance to our Winter Wonder Ride,” said Julius Tobin, Co-Founder of OnBikes. “Their music embodies the fun and community spirit we cherish, and we can’t wait to create an unforgettable experience for everyone involved!”

Known for hits like “HandClap” and “Out of My League,” Fitz and The Tantrums released their latest album, Let Yourself Free, in November 2022. Their live shows are known for infectious energy and crowd interaction, making them a perfect fit for Winter Wonder Ride’s celebratory vibe.

Proceeds from the Winter Wonder Ride will go directly toward OnBikes’ mission to provide new bikes and helmets to children in need across the Tampa Bay area, promoting health, confidence, and a sense of freedom. Since its founding, OnBikes has gifted over 10,000 bicycles to local children.
